Foo-ey

OK. Went to the Foo Fighters gig at the City Of Manchester Stadium last night. I am never, ever going to lower myself to attend a stadium gig ever again. I don't care if it's the fucking Beatles, and they have found a way to re-animate John and George, it ain't happening.

None of this is of course the fault of the band, who sounded pretty good with a decent enough set. It's just the whole, soulless experience of being herded in like sheep, having a crap view, surrounded by retards that spoils the whole experience. Take for example the dolls-head sat in front of me. A women whose last concert was clearly James Bastard Blunt or Kylie, who for some reason had brought with her studded leather gloves. She spent all her time showing her boyfriend the glove and throwing Ronnie-Dio-Devil-Horns into the air. It's a fucking glove love, you are about as metal as Heather Mills' plastic leg, now please go and drown yourself in the ship canal you bandwagon jumping cretin.

Ahhhhh. I feel better now I've got all that out. Blogging eh? It's the best therapy you can have!

Didn't you know Heathers leg has 3 platinum’s to its name?

Tell me they were good, despite the doll-head cretin? - going to see them on Friday

Awesome line haha :)

Btw I almost completely agree : I really prefer small venues (like 2, 3000 people) to gigantic stadiums. I remember seeing DT last year on the start of the Chaos tour in a small town in center France : that night was very special. Very intimate vibes between the band and the audience. Same goes for a number of other gigs I attended to...

On the other hand (hence the "almost" I was talking about), stadiums or big arenas are also a lot of fun when it's properly organized. When you don't have to wait in line for hours, stuck between dozens of reeking sweaty geeks (or worse), and when you have the opportunity to enjoy the gig from a nice place (i.e. with a seat on the balcony, or in the first rows of the pit), arena concerts cn actually be a lot of fun. I remember large Paris gigs from AC/DC or Metallica, with tens of thousands of people singing along and shit, that was really unique.
